Project
Management/Consulting
Fees are set at the time of agreement. Fees are
based on hours which include work, travel, meetings, conference
calls and other activities which are related, and important, to
production. Work is production time (excludes travel, meetings,
conference calls and other indirect activities) which is used
to determine milestones and due-dates. Send inquiries to The
Partners with PROJECT MANAGEMENT CONSULTING as the subject.
The fee-categories include (these descriptions are for informational purposes -- only the wording on a signed contract is binding):
Flat-Fee.
This covers all of the work that is explicitly stated in the agreement
for a given period of time. Any change or additional work will
have a separate attachment to the original agreement as well as
a stated fee. 50% of the fee is to be paid to KJS Associates prior
to the commencement of any aspect of the agreement. The remaining
50% will be pro-rated and paid every 30-days for the remainder
of the agreement. An attachment becomes a part of the agreement
only after 50% of the fee is paid and the change or additional
work has been prioritized and resources have been made available
for assignment in the work-schedule and confirmation has been
provided in writing. The remaining 50% of the attachment fee will
be pro-rated and paid every 30-days for the remainder of the agreement.
Out-of-pocket expenses will be billed separately. This arrangement
is generally for small projects.
Hourly-Fee.
This covers all work that is explicitly stated in the agreement
for a stated number of hours. Any change or additional work will
have a separate attachment to the original agreement as well as
the additional number of hours. The payment is to be made to KJS
Associates every 15-days for the term of the agreement. An attachment
becomes a part of the agreement only after KJS Associates has
received notice that the every-15-days payment has been adjusted;
and, when the additional number of hours of work have been prioritized,
resources have been made available for assignment, and the change
or additions are incorporated into the work schedule; and, milestones/due-dates
have been changed accordingly; and, confirmation has been provided
in writing. Out-of-pocket expenses will be billed separately.
This arrangement provides flexible work arrangements. NOTE: Hourly-Fee
time is always scheduled.
Block-Hours Fee.
A combination of the Flat Fee and the Hourly Fee. Payment is made
to KJS Associates prior to the commencement of any aspect of the
agreement for an exact number of hours (minimum of 100 hours)
for work that is explicitly stated in the agreement. A discount
is applied. Any change or additional work will have a separate
attachment to original agreement. An attachment becomes a part
of the agreement only after KJS Associates has received payment;
and, when the additional number of hours of work have been prioritized,
resources have been made available for assignment, and the change
or additions are incorporated into the work schedule; and, milestones/due-dates
have been changed accordingly; and, confirmation has been provided
in writing. Out-of-pocket expenses will be billed separately.
This arrangement provides an economical approach. NOTE: Block-Hours
are always scheduled; and, are scheduled back-to-back.
Retainer Fee.
Provides, on the average, a certain number of visits to an agreed
work location each period for an explicitly stated purpose in
the agreement. 50% of the fee is to be paid to KJS Associates
prior to the commencement of any aspect of the agreement. The
remaining 50% will be pro-rated and paid every 30-days for the
remainder of the agreement. Out-of-pocket expenses will be billed
separately. This arrangement provides an unbiased professional
review.
On-Site Fee.
Similar to Hourly Fee and Retainer Fee. All work is done on-site
during the normal business day on a contract basis - not as an
employee. All work to be done is explicitly stated in the agreement.
Any change or additional work will have a separate attachment
to the original. The payment is to be made to KJS Associates every
15-days for the term of the agreement. An attachment becomes a
part of the agreement only after KJS Associates has received notice
that the every-15-days payment has been adjusted; and, when the
additional work has been prioritized, resources have been made
available for assignment, and the change or additions are incorporated
into the work schedule; and, milestones/due-dates have been changed
accordingly; and, confirmation has been provided in writing. Out-of-pocket
expenses will be billed sepa
DD&T
A project management concept with the very simple
approach of Done, Dollars and Time. This triad-system is used
to over come the usual complexities that mask and shade the essentials
needed for good, common-sense, project management that everyone
from the busy executive, and the professional staff, to the super-busy
administrative and clerical members of large and small work-groups
can use with ease when working on major as well as minor projects.
Collectibles
Call them antiques; or, call it art: It makes no
difference. Most everyone collects something. There are those
who collect coupons to reduce the cost of the purchase. Some use
a product which comes with tokens that can be exchanged for something
else. Airlines give miles which are collected and converted into
tickets. Auctions present an opportunity to collect previously
owned and used property. A lot of what we collect never gets used
for more than closet, basement, attic, or garage decorations and
fillers. Our collectibles offer a way to add to your collection.
Items that are not ready for antique status; yet, they are desirable to hold in the belief that:
Priority collectibles-notification is available by e-mail on a by-request basis.
Nit
Picx
An observing service. The observing-work that is
to be done will be stated in writing. The agreement will state
when, where, how often, and the media (video, film, digital image,
etc.). The cost will be identified by session, by hour, by block-of-time
or block-of-observing. Materials and travel will be shown as separate
line items on the invoice. The results of each session will be
provided without editing or rendering except as provided by special
agreement (video will always be provided as shot without editing).
Payment for session and hourly will be at least every two weeks,
at the time-of-delivery, or as agreed. Block time is always paid
in advance.
This is a professional observing service for those dealing with
daily change. A lot passes by each day that goes unnoticed. It
might be:
The change is recorded for subsequent rendering into formats and
media suitable for potential viewing:

Art
Teaching, instruction, and advice are available
for new and incomplete projects in oil, acrylic and other medium.

or, an artist who just needs to discuss how to best to use a technique
or get a little advice on a shadow or highlights on glass: we
have classes that will meet your needs.
Classes are always forming. Pre-registration is required. Class time-of-day is determined by teacher and facility availability.
UFO's (UnFinished Objects) classes are for unfinished objects waiting for the touch of the brush that will be in your hand.
Project and Program classes are for those artists interested in learning about a new technique, using different medium, impact of one surface versus another surface, learning another way to paint an object, learning from the way others paint, and much more.
An experienced teacher is always available during our classes. Minimum class size is from six to 10 (see the brochure). There are no refunds for missed classes; however, it may be possible to attend a class that is not full.
