Not being on the A-List of candidates, I can be perfectly frank, and candid, about this platform. Read along. It is possible that you will find a lot of similarity between these "points" and possibly how you might also feel about the same subjects. There is a certain degree of chance that you may disagree in part or entirely with this Platform. As the, "Write In" candidate your vote gives you the opportunity to speak your piece without voting for those that are wasting dollars through exorbitant campaign spending that could be put to better use.
Political Wind
The sense that it is easy for the politicians and the journalists to work in a fashion to disguise the "real" truth and present truths akin to fantasy and science fiction by promising whatever those listening want to hear. Those skilled in "mob" leadership will sway the followers with rhetoric that can be quickly internalized. Frenzy in the mob is churned by short easy to say chants that are so loud that they block any thought of the "real" truth. Those who do not confirm to the mob are ostracized, as the least punishment; and, often physically, mentally, or emotionally abused or hurt because they, the mob, can do so with almost guaranteed anonymity to the degree that they are protected by the shield of the mob they have put into motion! You will see the people that look good; you will hear the people that speak well; you will read the works of those that write well; and, you will spread their word. These are the are the followers of the political wind. These are the followers that move like the sands of the desert in whatever the direction the political winds blow.
Are you a Citizen that wants chaotic knee-jerk reaction? Are you a Citizen that wants "proof" of concept before funds are appropriated and dollars are spent. The challenge is, and will be, that there are always aberrations. The folks that make non-political sense suggest "contingency" planning that continually adapts the plan for the "unplanned."
Green
It would seem that "Green" and "Global Warming" share a lot of common parts and pieces. The most common thread that bounces around is the industrial "stuff" that is created (e.g., Dioxin, polymers, etc.) and persists often causing great harm to our environment: not necessarily today - eventually. It would seem to be important to be able to neutralize (make inert) any substance that is created. If the "creation" cannot be made into harmless compounds, after its useful life, then it should be severely constrained in its creation with few, if any, exceptions. There will always be the "cry" that, "It is the only hope to save the precious being!" ; or, "It will make life so much easier!" with seeming little or no thought to the effect on our future generations and the future inhabitants of this planet. It would be a sensible position to wish that anything created must also have a process to return that which was created, at the end of each use, into harmless components before being privately or commercially produced or manufactured.
Health
Each election, the A-List candidates have spent 100's of millions of dollars for "their" own purposes. This frivolous spending has grossly wasted resources that could fund some, if not many, of the health programs they promise. These A-List candidates tell us how they will make universal health care available for everyone. They will spend a few of your tax dollars for "charity" health care services while they will receive "private" health care services with no waiting. There never seems to be any mention, for the "charity" health care services, of any guarantee, about how long it will take to see a doctor or when one will get needed treatment or the quality of medications dispensed or used. Ask a doctor about the proportion of their time that will be spent doing "charity" health care service and the percentage of time they will be involved in their private care practice should we be moved into the socialized health care. There are many implications of what should and should not be done. Will socialized health care be a level playing field for all to receive the same service; or, will politicians be able to make rules just for them? The wait-time for services and the features of health care should be affordable and should be not be any different for the politicians or the powerful or the rich or the every day legal citizen.
Military
It is true that history, for the most part, has wars started by those in a position of political power? History has a lot of examples from which to choose! The most unsettling wars are those started without any apparent attempt, or interest, to win. WWII was a war to be won! The Korean Police Action was not to be won. The Vietnam Conflict was not to be won. It is noticeable when there is a war to be won, the citizens are supportive and give their all to their daughters and sons who are sent into combat by the politicians. Many of us have spent time wondering what the politicians are thinking when we are sent into combat without a realistic chance to win - not because of supplies, weaponry, or skill - rather because the political policy of limiting the ability to win. It should be a rule, "Until we learn to fight in the same manner - politically, economically, and physically - (as the opposing insurgents and terrorists) with the conviction that we will win, politicians must not place our sons and daughters in harm's way of a combat situation!" At one time we were good at defending the soil of our own country against the British. In this time, we were the terrorists and the insurgents (in the eyes of the British monarch). We wanted to win! We did win! At one time we fought among ourselves with some of the civilian population, picnicking, watching the carnage and slaughter of our own brothers and sons! This Civil War was the last conflict on our soil. We have forgotten the pain and the "sometime" need for conflict and combat. We wanted to win and did win! In recent times we have seen the pain of others who are like us, and often unlike us, that are harmed by the power-munging politicians's greed for more. We have tried to help. Unfortunately, we have not had the all important political will-to-win! If it is important to help others, with a war, then it is an absolute necessity to win the conflict!
Accountability
It seems that more and more laws are written as each day passes. It also seems like yesterday's laws are forgotten and mostly unenforced or unenforceable. Common sense and practical sense are not the norm when political accountability is essential for being responsible and reasonable. There is little evidence that there is any political restraint and self-control. Our laws are often so convoluted that few if any are able to sort through the mess without going to the Supreme Court; and, even then the results are often found to be with political bias. The Electoral College is an arcane piece of legislation that was suitable for the days before all the various forms of communications available today. Today, the Electoral College is all but replaced by some annoying television "speaking head" anchor sputtering about who has won the election before the polls have closed. If the election was won before a citizen can vote, then it is surely a sign that the politicians are shirking their responsibility by allowing private industry to elect the President or other politician long before the polls have closed. This seeming simple example is just a small piece of the jungle the politicians have created in their never ending ways of writing more laws to cover their mistakes and their "bad" laws. Politicians could take ownership of their responsibilities and remove outdated, worthless, arcane, antiquated, etc. laws from the books and get back to the basics where the Citizen knew what the laws of the land were and there could be compliance.
Citizenship
Citizenship is precious and costs a lot. Citizenship is not a right for just anyone. Citizenship is for those who are legal citizens and have allegiance to this country and to the other people who are legal citizens of this country. A legal citizen supports and is in compliance with the laws of this country. A legal citizen gives birth to a legal citizen. A visitor, or illegal resident, or someone who renounces the laws of this country is not a citizen; nor should birth result in a legal citizen. There should never, never ever, be dual citizenship where there is also allegiance to another country, too! A person can earn citizenship in this country by following the laws for the purpose of becoming a citizen. Being a citizen and becoming a citizen are not all that complicated. A citizen supports and is in compliance with the laws of this country. Sometimes, a person wishing to become a citizen must, unfortunately, wait; and, in the worst case be disallowed. An illegal person, even if a friend or relative, is such a person to be disallowed citizenship because they are not in compliance with the laws put in place by the politicians. They are a criminal. Those harboring or employing illegal people are also criminals because they are violating the laws written by the politicians.
Victims
Being a victim is a terrible scenario, against humanity, that some undeserving people are forced to endure! It is simply mind boggling to observe how society, and its defenders of the people, treat a victim. The victim could be financially destroyed, physically maimed, emotionally scarred and etc., yet they are, more often than not, given the blame for the situation. If the victim suffers physical harm, they are responsible for their own medical treatment. If the victim is murdered, the family suffers an incomparable loss in addition to the funeral arrangements and the funeral costs. If the victim's identity is stolen, there is little that is done to make the victim financially and personally whole again. Society turns its back on the victim making the victim pay for any legal costs, cost of restoration, and everything else. On the other hand, the criminal is rewarded with privileges, rights, protection of wealth, free legal service, educational benefits, job opportunities, do-gooding support, and much more. The legal system makes the written law a joke. The legal system belittles the work and efforts of honest law enforcement personnel by failing to actually make use of the "laws" to protect the victim. Many times the criminal is returned to the street with just a small inconvenience to their daily life regardless of the damage to, or potential damage to, future victims (e.g., spreading STD's; allowing identity theft to happen because it is profitable; driving rage and multiple DUIs; drive-by shootings and children murdering others; politicians that do not listen to constituents and who place themselves above the law; corporations that pollute the environment and give golden parachutes to corporate leaders that ruin the company's stock and bond prices; builders that use sub-standard materials; people that prey on others as well as females-and-males that take advantage of those under the age-of-majority; failing to protect and respect the elderly, infirm, and disabled; spending taxpayer dollars to protect only the wealthy-and-powerful from physical-and-health threats without personal inconvenience; and etc. just to name a few).
